Amman

Amman is a city that is traversed quickly. It takes up one day or half a day in the other coupling half day to Jerash. I recommend taking the citadel in the first place, as it has a breathtaking view of the Roman theater, in front of the citadel hill, and suddenly no need to go visit. For backpacking, I recommend the Rainbow Street Street where you will find many shops, bars and restaurants.
Restaurants:
For lunch Al Q of S Restaurant on King Hussein Street, very good value for 7-8 JD / person you eat very properly (input + Mansaf chicken or other).
For a nice dinner, Reem Al Bawadi or eat in Berber tents in the heart of Amman (it takes 15 JD / person). Completely exotic.
Hotel
Misk Hotel. A little eccentric but very well decorated (70 JD/nuit/2 people). Taxis to get around are really cheap.
Jerash

Jerash is a must see if you come to Jordan. It is just 1 hour from Amman. On the way, we discover stunning mountain scenery in all colors. The greenery is also very present. It takes half a day exploring this ancient Greek city.
For a rural ride, do not hesitate to go on the heights from the south theater. And for the return, choose the Cardo Maximus (artery bottom) for a different camera angle. We were there on a Friday and there were many children that gave rise to another dimension full of life. Do not miss the piper in the amphitheater.
In order not to complicate things, we took a taxi to Jersah (70 JD/2personnes).
The Dead Sea, Madaba, Mount Nebo and Kerak

We take the road to the south, towards Petra and take the mountain roads. If you have time, it is absolutely necessary to borrow to see the wealth of the Jordanian mountains come in all colors, white red green black ... Again the green is very present.
First stop: Mount Nebo with an incredible view of the Dead Sea. Very beautiful mosaics being restored.
Always down to Petra, it is imperative to stop the Dead Sea Panoramic Complex where you have the most stunning views in the Dead Sea.
Madaba: Small village charm. This is the city that made his reputation on the mosaics, they are present in all parts of the city. Take the opportunity to visit all the churches of the city (on average 1 or 2 JD / person for each entry).
Kerak: A well-preserved citadel, no less than the citadel of Saladdin! Ideal for children or great soul who kept a knight.

Visit of Petra
Have at least a day so there is much to do. The entrance to the site fees are very high (50 JD / person / day or 55 JD/2jours). Therefore prefer the formula 2 days.
All monuments inside are incredibly well preserved. For a bucolic ride and still a bit sporty, fit instead of sacrifices. After 45 minutes of climbing, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire site.
Hotel: Petra Moon Hotel is a really nice hotel with a huge positive. It is 100 meters from the site entrance (170 JD/2nuits/2personnes). The evening buffet at will for 12 JD / person. The hotel is building a rooftop pool ... to watch.
Restaurant on site: We went to lunch at the Nabatean Tent Restaurant (10 JD / person). Buffet.
Do not miss it on the site: The Treasury, the blue granite columns from Egypt to the Blue Chapel, theater and royal tombs.
As you well buzzing, you can enjoy an ice cream at the Movenpick at the exit site (Caravan Stop Shop). The ice creams are very good and well served (5JD/coupe).
Do not miss it either: Petra by Night (12JD/personne). You repeat the same path through the Siq to reach the Treasury but in the night and not only guided candles. Arrived at the Treasury, two musicians await you and play some music.
Wadi Rum
Full article on Wadi Rum HERE >>>
To reach the desert, we took a taxi from Petra (approximately 70JD by car). The desert was an essential step for us on this trip.
We arrived around 10:00 at Turism Office of Wadi Rum where we expect the Bedouin with whom we will spend two days. His name is Atayek. We knew nothing about him before coming (this is called the adventure) but his father was still in the film Lawrence of Arabia. He takes us first in his home in the Bedouin village inside the protected area. He offers us tea with sage (yes sage) is extraordinary. We will be 4 because 2 other people join us.
Atayek has prepared a customized program where we will alternate 4 × 4 and country walks. In short our journey begins with a stroll in the 4 × 4 to the sources of Lawrence. There, a 20-minute climb ahead for the first spectacular view of the desert. Then we leave in 4 × 4 and whenever there is something that is not by car (including the Gorge), we descend and continue on foot and we reach the 4 × 4 then.
At noon, we had lunch on a tablecloth in a desert course in shade. Our guide today is the older brother of Atayek, a former policeman strong desert respected in the village. It prepares us a great picnic with fruits and vegetables grown in the desert. After the meal, we take the time to take a nap 1 hour and it is gone.
The desert is extraordinary, or should I say the desert so there are different. We see the main attractions but the brother Atayek prevents the flow of tourists. We feel alone in the world.
The night he chooses us a great place to see the sunset. For 1 hour, we watch the sun go down with the changing colors of the desert.
After this beautiful sunset, we reach our camp at night. And then it's magic! Atayek has a location consisting of five tents for 2 people, 1 tent for a large group, one tent with a fire in the middle of the dining room, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom even Atayek did everything ... itself hat!!
Outside, the nephew of Atayek is preparing us a barbecue. We take this opportunity to share our experience of the day. I feel out of time eating around the fire. We then look at the stars (ask Atayek his laser pen that allows you to point the stars, stunning, though not in France) then sleep in our beautiful tent. Standing 6 hours the next day to see the sunrise.
After breakfast, we leave to see the part of the desert that we had not seen before. This time it is Atayek will be our guide. He explains everything and as we walk we like longer walks. It's amazing, he knows the history of the desert. He will not let us go without eating. It prepares us for a last meal with him. Before leaving, he goes to the supermarket (yes) to buy us something to make tea with sage in Paris ... Again, a great experience ... Thank Atayek.
